During your recovery, there are certain everyday activities that you should avoid for a brief period. These include tasks like taking a shower or bathing. The reason for this is to avoid any potential complications that can jeopardize your results.
You should avoid baths, pools, hot tubs, and the ocean for the fist three to four weeks after your surgery, because the incisions cannot be submerged in water. You will need to avoid showering for a period of 36 hours. After this period, you can shower normally, but make sure to be gentle around the breasts and to gently pat dry the area.
At The Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we make sure to provide our patient with a thorough list of post-operative care instructions so that their recovery goes as smoothly as possible. Contact our office today to schedule a consultation.
